I’m a seventh generation family farmer, raised on my daddy’s farm in sunny south Georgia. It is my passion to raise and sell food the way my grandparents (and great-grandparents!) did. Raising trustworthy food without chemicals, medications, or any factory farming techniques. Healthy, pastured cattle and hand planted (by me personally) heirloom produce, never coated with pesticides or herbicides. My dream is to bring back the golden days of farming: when farmers could feed their food to their own children, when neighbors could trust their local farmers to provide safe and responsible nutrition.

Let me introduce you to our Hunter Cattle family. In 2004, my Mom, (Debra), my Dad (Del), my older brother (Anthony), and me (Kristan, the oldest daughter), fell in love with a piece of property outside of Stilson, GA. It’s so small we don’t even have a post office, so our address is in Brooklet. We wanted a place to build our families, become as sustainable as possible, and raise/grow our own food.

THOMPSON FARMS
Hi, friends! We’re the Thompson family. Together, we grow and produce delicious pastured pork worthy of your family’s table.
Today we do everything from raising the pig to packaging the bacon. Our pigs are born and harvested here, never having to be transported or kept in a cage of any kind. Our processing center produces fresh, smoked and fully cooked pork the way Raymond learned to do it (with a few modern adjustments of course). Our retail shop onsite is stocked with pork so you can carry it right off the farm to your home.
